Clockwork Phoenix 3 TOC
time_shark has released the final table of contents for Clockwork Phoenix 3. My story "Lineage" is in position 12, between realthog's "Where Shadows Go at Low Midnight" and johncwright's "Murder in Metachronopolis". (I love these titles!)

Also he's added stories by catrambo and wirewalking to the list, making the total fifteen.

Still really, really excited.

Just out of curiosity, does it matter to you where you are placed in table of contents?

Sometimes, when I pick up an anthology of stories, if the first one does not grab me, I kind of jump around randomly. On the other hand, if the first one works, I move to the second, etc. In fact, is there a reason where you are placed?

Hey, Raquel.

Answer to first question: Nope. I am so delerious to be included at all that I'd be delighted anywhere. I do think it would be especially nifty to be the first or last story, though.

Answer to second question: Definitely. An anthology is composed something like a concert -- the sequence of pieces matters for the experience of the reader.

This is especially true of the Clockwork Phoenix books. We're actually noted for it.
