My Nebula-Eligible Stories (One in Particular)
As I do every year, I'm listing my stories from 2013 that will be eligible for the Nebula Award. This year, however, I'm going to highlight one particular story, for reasons noted below.

Highlighted story:

"Selected Program Notes from the Retrospective Exhibition of Theresa Rosenberg Latimer", which appears in both

My other eligible stories:

  • "Life of the Author Plus Seventy", Analog Science Fiction & Fact, pp. 53-61 (September, 2013)

  • "Hear the Enemy, My Daughter", Strange Horizons (May 6, 2013)

(Another story, "I Have Read the Terms of Use", will appear in Daily Science Fiction, but I'm not certain that that will be in 2013.)

I've never singled out one story before (except when asked), and I feel funny about doing it this time. But "Selected Program Notes" has received more positive attention and praise than any other story I've written, ever. It also does one or two things that are maybe, arguably "innovative". I'm uncomfortable because this feels like bragging, but I think I can honestly say that this one stands out.

If you're curious, I'll happily send individual copies of "Selected Program Notes". Send me a message via LiveJournal, Facebook, or Twitter, including your e-mail address and the file format you prefer (I have EPUB, MOBI, PDF, RTF, and DOC). Or you could buy a copy of Clockwork Phoenix 4, which would make time_shark happy, and then you'd get to see all the other amazing stories in it. Or you could listen to Peter's beautiful reading on Podcastle.

Well, I generally like your work, and now you've piqued my curiosity. May I have an epub? (ada.the.space.pod@gmail.com)

I think it is actually my favorite story of yours. I liked both the early draft and the published version. Good luck!

Thanks for saying so!
