I've never singled out one story before (except when asked), and I feel funny about doing it this time. But "Selected Program Notes" has received more positive attention and praise than any other story I've written, ever. It also does one or two things that are maybe, arguably "innovative". I'm uncomfortable because this feels like bragging, but I think I can honestly say that this one stands out.
